PHOENIX, Ariz. – Following a season-opening setback to Rice on Friday afternoon, the Lopes (0-1) turn around to host #12 Duke on Sunday afternoon at the GCU Arena. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m., as the game stands as the Blue Devils 2017-18 debut.
Sunday's game will be broadcast live on ESPN3 as well as GCU.tv. Live stats will also be available.
The senior trio of
Brie Mobley,
Jessica Gajewski and
August Touchard led the Lopes in the season-opener, as they had 23, 21 and 12 points, respectively. Mobley added eight boards and Touchard had three assists.

Scouting Duke
The Lopes welcome preseason No. 12 Duke to the GCU Arena. Sunday's game will celebrate girl power, and 500 capes for children and adults will be given out.
Duke opens their 2017-18 regular season at GCU. The Blue Devils hosted Alaska Anchorage for a preseason exhibition scrimmage and claimed a victory in a 87-56 decision.
Last season, Duke was 28-6 overall and 13-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Blue Devils and the Lopes met in Durham, North Carolina, in mid-November and Duke claimed the win, 90-47. Duke went on to play for the ACC Tournament Championship against Notre Dame, but fell short, 84-61, to claim the runner-up spot in the league.
The Blue Devils earned a spot in the 2017 NCAA Tournament, but dropped their second-round match to Oregon, 74-65, to surrender a spot in the Sweet Sixteen.
