Lopes welcome Air Force Academy and University of Idaho.
PHOENIX--The Grand Canyon men's and women's swimming and diving program returns home for the team's first home meet of the season on Friday Nov. 3rd and Saturday, Nov. 4th at their new state-of-the-art facility, the Fr Edward J. Reese Aquatic Center on the campus of Brophy Catholic College Preparatory, which is just a short 15-minute drive east down Camelback from campus.
The events will kick off on Friday at 3:00 p.m MST and again on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. MST.
The women's team will compete against fellow Western Athletic Conference members the University of Idaho Vandals on Friday followed by the Air Force Academy Falcons on Saturday. The men will take part in a dual meet on Friday and Saturday against the Falcons.
Last year on the road, the men's team competed against Air Force and lost 161-135 while the women fell 171.5-128.5 to Idaho.
The men have not beaten Air Force since Nov. 8th 2013, when they defeated the Falcons 124-81 at home. The women's last victory over Air Force was Nov. 8th 2014 but they recently beat Idaho 171-128 just last year.
