Scouting Utah Valley
The Lopes trail the Wolverines in the all-time series, 3-5-0. UVU won last year's matchup, 2-1, in Phoenix and in 2015, 3-1.
The Wolverines started the year with a loss to Hawaii in overtime and a win over Houston Baptist, before losing three-straight contests. UVU had a four-game losing run in early September, but is currently on a three-game win streak in the WAC. The Wolverines fell to UMKC, 3-0, but defeated Chicago State, New Mexico State and UTRGV.
Last year, UVU defeated NMSU in the first round of the WAC Tournament, but fell to No. 1 Seattle U, 2-1, in the second round.
Scouting Seattle U
The Lopes trail the Redhawks 1-12 in the all-time series. Last season, GCU fell to Seattle, 1-0, on the road.
Seattle began the year with a pair of losses to CSU-Fullerton and Oregon State before winning three-straight games. The Redhawks haven't won since Oct. 6 when they defeated Chicago State. Since then, SU fell to UMKC, tied UTRGV and lost to NMSU.
Last year, Seattle won the WAC Tournament and advanced to the NCAA tournament, where they fell to UCLA, 3-0, in the first round.
