PHOENIX- The Grand Canyon women's soccer team will continue its three-game home stand as it hosts in-state rival Northern Arizona, Friday, Sept. 2 and Northern Colorado on Sunday, Sept. 4. The Lopes will look to defeat NAU for the second-straight year after dropping the Lumberjacks in the 2015 season opener.

GCU NOTABLES

In Week 2,GCU fell 2-0 to Weber State and lost 3-2 to UTEP in their home opener on Sunday.
The Lopes scored two goals through 12 shots on goal.
Madison Cox scored her second goal of the season, while Rachel Mina collected her first, both goals came against UTEP.
Blakely Fraasch made the start in goal for GCU and had seven saves on the weekend.

SCOUTING NORTHERN ARIZONA

The Lumberjacks currently sit at 1-3-0 on the season. NAU has produced 13 shots on goal that have resulted in four goals.
The Lumberjacks spent Week 2 in the UNLV Invitational in Las Vegas where they went 0-2 on the weekend.
NAU GK Meghan Dickmann has spent the majority of the minutes in the goal and has seven stops this season.

SCOUTING NORTHERN COLORADO

The Bears currently sit at 2-1-1 this season.
UNC has picked up wins against Colorado College and Colorado State and ended their contest with Air Force in a 2-2 draw.
The Bears went 1-1 in Week 2. They picked up a 1-0 victory over Colorado State, but fell to Indiana 3-0 decision on Sunday.
Mariel Gutierrez has scored three of the team's five goals this season. She currently has 13 shots on goal through 366 minutes played. Madeline Burdick has been the only GK for the Bears thus far. She has garnered 13 saves this season and one shutout.

SERIES HISTORY NOTABLES

Northern Arizona

The Lopes meet Northern Arizona for the fourth straight year and fifth time in program history.
In 2015, GCU defeated the Lumberjacks 3-2 in overtime in the team's season opener.
Last year's victory marked the first time in program history that GCU defeated the Lumberjacks.
