PHOENIX – For the second straight week, the Grand Canyon women's golf team will be on the road for another tournament in their fall season. The Lopes will travel to Seattle, Wash. to compete in fellow Western Athletic Conference member, Seattle U's tournament. Starting on Monday, Oct. 10, GCU will participate in the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational.
"After a disappointing tournament in New Mexico I am excited about the quick turnaround heading to Seattle," head coach
Lauren Giesecke said. "We have the opportunity to compete against some of the best teams across the country and I am excited to see how our players respond."
It is a stacked field as 14 teams will participate in the tournament, including Oregon State, BYU, Gonzaga and the defending National Champion, Washington. The Lopes will be one of three teams playing in the tournament from the WAC, joining Utah Valley and Seattle U.
The four players that will be representing the Lopes at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational will be
Deanna Salvatori,
Amy Ruelas,
Kylie Fong,
Leleaga Meredith and
Carolina Sandstrom.
