In its final tournament of the fall, the Grand Canyon women's golf team will travel to Hawaii to participate in the Rainbow Wahine Invitational. This will be the last tournament the Lopes will compete before the start of the spring season, beginning in February of 2017.

"Against a very competitive field we are looking to finish the fall strong as a team," head coach
Lauren Giesecke said. "We have made great strides in our first four tournaments this fall both as a team and individually. Hopefully we can end the fall on a positive note."

Making the trip to Hawaii will be three teams from the Big Sky Conference, including Portland State and fellow Western Athletic Conference member, UT Rio Grande Valley, will be the only other conference member joining GCU. Rounding out the field is Hawaii, BYU, Hawaii-Hilo and North Dakota State.

Making the trip for the Lopes will be

Kylie Fong,
Amy Ruelas,
Leleaga Meredith and
Brittany Holen. Throughout the field, 56 players will compete with nine teams and 11 individuals.

Play will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Leilehua Golf Course and will conclude on Thursday, Nov. 3.
