PHOENIX – The Grand Canyon University women's tennis team continues their fall slate this weekend at the San Diego State Invite in San Diego, Calif.
In their last competition, GCU put forth a competitive start to their season at the New Mexico State Invite in Las Cruces, N.M. Highlights include
Tatum Prudhomme's win the first flight's consolation finals, while
Lana Rinaldi had a third place finish in the fourth flight.
Alexandra Petrzalkova advanced to the consolation finals in the second flight, while
Susan Baklini and
Lana Macukat each made it to the quarterfinals of the third flight.
In doubles, Prudhomme and Petrzalkova competed against a pair from UTEP in the quarterfinals, falling short 6-4. They had a 4-1 record over the weekend in the first flight. Rinaldi and Macukat went 2-2 during the competition, while Baklini and Deleval went 2-1.
This marks the third straight year the Lopes have competed in the SDSU Invite. A full recap of this weekend's tournament will be available at
