PHOENIX – With just three matches left in the season, the Grand Canyon men's soccer team will hit the road for the last time this season. The Antelopes will face Air Force and Missouri-Kansas City for their final Western Athletic Conference road matches of the season.

The two teams the Lopes will face the weekend, sit directly above them in the WAC standings. Despite currently in 10
th place, GCU has the ability to move up all the way up to third place after its road trip. After scoring another goal this past weekend, Alberto Sanchez Garcia is third in the WAC this season with 20 points scoring eight goals along with four assists.

All-Time Series RecordGCU will face Air Force for the fourth time in school history with a 1-1-1 all-time record against the Falcons. The Lopes will square off against UMKC for the fourth time having won one match against the Kangaroos.

Scouting Air ForceThe Falcons have not won a match in the last three contests in conference but have scored in all three contests. Tucker Axhoj leads the Air Force with four goals and an assist for a team leading nine points. Air Force has played exceptional soccer at home, posting a 3-1 record at the USAFA Academy. Rob Blair and John Wendt have split time in goal as the two goalkeepers combined have posted a 1.22 goals against average with four shutouts. AFA has found a balance in scoring with five goals in the first 45 minutes and adding seven goals in the second half.

Scouting UMKCThe Kangaroos have dropped two straight matches on the road at the hands of San Jose State and Bakersfield. Nine different players have scored for the Roos this season, led by Pandelis Popeorgiev and Wes White with three goals each. Popeorgiev leads the team in points while adding two assists and UMKC has struggled to generate a consistent offense this season, averaging 1.07 goals per contest. The Roos have played three goalkeepers this season with Ryan Tome receiving a majority of the playing time posting a 2.00 goals against average with one shutout.Â
