Grand Canyon University University’s Priscilla Annoual has been named the Pacific West Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, for the weeks of Feb. 20-26 and March 5-11. The awards were announced by the conference over the past two days.
Annoual has amassed a 10-4 record this season, having gone 5-3 against regionally-ranked opponents. She has vaulted up the West Region rankings and is currently ranked seventh overall. Annoual had a 5-1 record playing at No. 2 singles and is 5-3 at playing in her current spot of No.1 singles.
Annoual has teamed with teammate Franziska Schmid to go 8-6 in doubles play.
The women’s tennis team will close out the home portion of their schedule with two matches this weekend at the Paseo Racquet Center in Glendale, Ariz. They host Montana State today at 1 p.m. and tomorrow, the men and women will both host Montana, beginning at noon.
