It's new territory for both Grand Canyon and CSU Monterey Bay.
The 7th-ranked Antelopes and 22nd-ranked Otters play at 6 p.m. today in an NCAA II West Region semifinal game at Kellogg Gym in Pomona, Calif.
GCU (28-2) won its first-ever NCAA tournament game Friday, 53-51 over Seattle Pacific. CSUMB (27-3) downed Dixie State 68-59. The Antelopes are the tournament's No. 2 seed. The Otters are No. 3.
The winner will take on the survivor of the Alaska-Anchorage/Cal Poly Pomona contest Monday for the region championship. The region winner will advance to the Elite 8, which begins March 22 in St. Joseph's, Missouri.
GCU has won 16 straight games. The school record for consecutive wins is 17 (2006-07 season). The Antelopes have already set numerous records this season including victories (28).
