Grand Canyon University senior middle hitter
Stephanie McBride was named the Pacific West Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for her performance in matches contested Oct. 10-16.
McBride led the Antelopes to a 4-0 week after averaging 4.68 points per set. She had 65.5 points on 40 kills, 10 aces, five block solos and 21 block assists.
She tied a school record for block assists in a match, recording 11 in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Notre Dame de Namur. Four other players have had 11 block assists in a match. The most recent was Mandy Forrest in 2002.
McBride led the PacWest in aces per set (0.71), ranked third in blocks per set (1.86) and points per set, and ranked eighth in hitting (.337). She also ranked 10th in kills per set (2.86) for the week in the conference.

Mackenzie Phelps were selected to the PacWest Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll.
Preach averaged 10.86 assists per set for the week. Her 152 assists ranked first in total assists and third in assist average.
Phelps averaged 5.57 digs per set. She led the league in total digs (78) and ranked third in dig average.
