Grand Canyon University sophomore forward
Kyle Ciliento (Phoenix, AZ/Pinnacle, Saint Mary's College of California) has been named Pacific West Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
The honor, for games played Nov. 1-7, was announced today by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix.
Ciliento led the Antelopes to a 2-0-0 with 14 points on six goals and two assists. He had two goals for four points in GCU's 6-0 win over Chaminade on Nov. 3 and four goals for eight points in the 'Lopes' 8-1 victory against the Silverswords on Nov. 5.
In the latter game, he scored the first four goals in just 17:41.
This is the second time this season that Ciliento has been named Player of the Week. He received the award on Sept. 13. He leads the PacWest in shots (86), shots per game (4.78), points (55), points per game (3.06), goals (25), goals per game (1.39) and game-winning goals (8).
Ciliento wasn't the only GCU player honored by the conference this week. Senior forward
Pat Perkins (Bremerton, WA/Bremerton, Olympic College) was named to the PacWest Men's Soccer Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll after scoring two goals and totaling four points in the wins over Chaminade.
