Anna Lysinger entered her first year with GCU as a performance specialist in 2019-20.
Before joining the Sports Performance staff at GCU, Lysinger was the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the University of Mississippi. While in Oxford, she was the Assistant Coach for the 2017 SEC Champion women's softball team, rifle and Men's Tennis. She supervised and administered year-round training for athletes, focusing on power, strength, speed, endurance and mobility development. In addition, she supported team coaches with setting the tone during team activities along with collaborating with athletic trainers and sports nutritionists to carefully understand each athletes needs.
Prior to coming to Ole Miss, Lysinger was an assistant strength and conditioning coach for softball and men's and women's swim and dive at Georgia Tech for four years (2011-15). During her time there she won one ACC Championship with softball and had several swim and dive athletes who competed in the NCAA National Tournament, as well as in the Olympics.
Before Georgia Tech, Lysinger did an internship from 2010-11 at North Carolina State University where she worked under her mentors. She worked with the following sports: women's basketball,volleyball, softball, gymnastics, women's golf and baseball.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Lysinger received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, as well as a minor in Nutrition and Concentration in Strength and Conditioning and Coaching. She earned her Master of Science in Sports Administration from Georgia State University.
