Kenia Sinclair is entering her second season as Volunteer Assistant Coach in 2017. Sinclair will assist the cross country programs as well as track and field mid-distance student-athletes.
The native from Saint Mary Parish, Jamaica is a 10-time national champion and currently holds the Jamaican national record in the 800m since 2006 when she ran 1:57.88 in Rethymno, Greece.
In 2016, Sinclair qualified for her third Olympic games, finishing 52nd in the world with a time of 2:03.78. During the 2012 London games, the three-time Olympian did not finish due to injury and in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Sinclair finished sixth in the world with a time of 1:58.24. In 2006, Sinclair finished second during the World Indoor Championships in Moscow, Russia.
