Bolton comes from a strong athletic and coaching background. Bolton grew up playing club soccer for the Eugene Timbers FC, where she later returned to coach youth teams ranging from U-11 to U-16 from 2014-16. As a freshman, Bolton attended Portland State, where she ran cross country and track for 2013-14. Bolton then attended Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, playing soccer for the Titans for 2014-15 seasons. During her time at LCC, Bolton was captain on the squad that won the Northwest Athletic Conference Southern Region Championships in 2015.
After her time at the community college level, Bolton transferred to GCU in 2016, where she played and coached soccer in GCU Club Sports from 2016 through 2018. Bolton’s playing career did not end there. She played in the inaugural season for FC Arizona’s Women's Professional Soccer League team and earned accolades as the first All-WPSL West Region honoree for the club in 2019. Bolton’s coaching experiences in Arizona rangex from coaching youth soccer for Phoenix Rising FC to serving as the varsity assistant coach for Hamilton High School in Chandler, where she helped the Hustkies be the 2020 state runner-up in Class 6A. Bolton also completed her U.S. Soccer National D Coaching License.Â
Bolton is from Junction City, Oregon, and graduated Grand Canyon with a degree in Exercise and Sports Performance and is pursuing a graduate degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Sports Business.
