Anzaldo joined the GCU women's soccer program as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator on January 21, 2020, and is in his second season with the Lopes.
Anzaldo comes to GCU with nine years of experience as an assistant coach at East Central in Oklahoma (2009-2011), San Diego State (2013-15), Gonzaga (2016) and San Diego (2017-19).

Most recently at San Diego, Anzaldo helped Toreros head coach Louise Lieberman lead the team to 24 wins and landed eight players on All-West Coast Conference teams, including the WCC Goalkeeper of the Year.

At San Diego State, Anzaldo was part of a coaching staff that led the Aztecs to three straight Mountain West Conference regular-season championships and two appearances in the NCAA tournament. SDSU went 43-16-5 in those three seasons, along with having the Defensive Player of the Year in 2013 and the Freshman of the Year in 2015. Anzaldo helped coach 11 players to Mountain West first-team honors and five to second-team honors.

Anzaldo also has experience at the youth level, coaching the San Diego Surf Soccer Club in Del Mar while at SDSU. At San Diego Surf, Anzaldo worked with players selected to national teams, and Olympic Development Program regional and state teams.

He also started the Southmoore High School men's soccer team in 2009. The Moore, Oklahoma, school won the 2011 and 2013 city championships under his direction and he coached three players to all-state recognition. Anzaldo split his time at Southmoore as the varsity and junior varsity coach, while also coaching at East Central.

Anzaldo, who has his U.S. Soccer Federation "A" license, was also the head coach at the Norman Youth Soccer Association in Oklahoma, and an instructor at Nike Soccer Camps in Boston following a year-long assistant coach stint at Fullerton (Calif.) College.
Anzaldo played soccer at Fullerton College and St. Gregory's in Shawnee, Oklahoma. While at Fullerton, the two-year team captain was a two-time all-conference performer, 2001 defensive MVP and 2002 team MVP. Then at St. Gregory's, Anzaldo was named team captain and went on to earn 2003 and 2004 team MVP accolades and 2003-04 Cavalier Male Athlete of the Year honors.
Following his playing career, Anzaldo earned his Master's Degree in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from Oklahoma in 2010. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Health and Exercise Science from St. Gregory's in 2005.
