David Keeler joined the Grand Canyon sports medicine staff in June of 2020. He is in his first year as an assistant athletic trainer and oversees the medical coverage for the men’s soccer and men’s and women’s tennis teams.

Keeler, a native of Perkasie, Pennsylvania, attended California University of PA where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and master’s degree in Exercise Science. After Keeler graduated with his master’s degree, he would go on to work with two elite youth soccer clubs: Lehigh Valley United (Allentown, Pennsylvania) and Barça Residency Academy USA (Casa Grande, Arizona).

Keeler recently received his certifications in Graston M1 Technique and Myofascial Cupping Practitioner from Rocktape and Selective Functional Movement Assessment from FMS.

Additionally, Keeler completed two internships with the MLS club the Philadelphia Union. He also served as a per diem certified athletic trainer for the Philadelphia Union Academy during this time.
