Dominick Bussanich returns for his seventh year as an assistant at Grand Canyon University. He was a member of the coaching staff that led GCU to the 2007, 2009 and 2010 Pacific West Conference championships, as well as a berth in the 2007 NCAA Division II national tournament.
Bussanich coached for two seasons with the Arizona Sahuaros men’s developmental squad. He spent five years as coach of Sansego FC, a Hoboken, N.J., club team. He also played goalkeeper for Sansego FC, where he won three championships in a five-year span. Bussanich was the founder and coach of the North Bergen (N.J.) High School boys team in 1979, two years removed from his graduation from the school. He has coached youth soccer in Arizona and New Jersey, having spent the better part of 10 consecutive years coaching in the desert. He also coaches the Cisco 92 U-16 Boys team.
Bussanich and his wife Mary Grace have two daughters, Christine and Jessica, and reside in Peoria.
