Paul Limpf is in his second season as Grand Canyon's head cross country coach and the track and field distance coach in 2023-24.Â
Limpf joined GCU for the 2022-2023 season, when he coached Joseph Skoog to the All-WAC first team. Limpf assisted in coaching the indoor track and field team to its seventh straight men's WAC championship. Limpf also helped coach the Lopes to their third straight men's outdoor track and field title.Â
Limpf was also a very successful athlete for Eastern Washington. He made an appearance at the 2008 NCAA Championship for cross country and finished in the top third of the field. During that same season, he finished fourth at the Big Sky Championship and sixth at the Notre Dame Invitational.
Limpf was a three time all-conference performer in cross country. Â
Limpf also had success during the outdoor track seasons while at Eastern Washington, recording the second-best time in school history in the 5K and the 10K. He earned all-conference first-team honors in 2009 and was a two-time NCAA regional qualifier.
Limpf graduated from Eastern Washington with a degree in social studies education and a minor in philosophy.
