Bio
Major/Minor: Exercise Science with an Emphasis in Health Education
Future Goals: To create a life I love, and to use my education in the science of exercise and health to help others better their health and wellness.
Why did you choose GCU? Initially I chose GCU for it’s prestigious education and Christian ethics. However, in the course of my 3 years I have fallen in love with the culture, people, and electric school spirit.
Favorite part of being a Lope? My favorite part of being a lope is being an ambassador for a school who takes pride in Christ and the characteristics that fall under that. In addition, being apart of the growth and success of this University and its reputation has been the most rewarding.
What you love most about cheering at GCU? Being apart of the game day experience! There is nothing like cheering in front of 7,000 of the best fans in the country screaming for the success of your school!
When you are not cheering, you can be found? In the classroom/library, spending time with friends and family, or at multiple elementary schools around the valley teaching cheer and dance!
Who is the most influential person in your life? My parents; My Mom and Dad are true examples of servants of God and have a pretty stellar sense of humor- a perfect balance in my opinion.
Favorite Bible Verse or Quote: “It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave; just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:26-28
What advice would you give to someone who dreams of becoming a GCU Cheerleader? My advice for anyone seeking to become a GCU Cheerleader would be to work hard and understand the demands of your responsibility here fully. Once committing to this program whole heartedly, your skills won’t only improve, but your quality of life and character will be changed for the betterment of your future endeavors.
