- Used 99 pitches to toss eight scoreless innings in a run-rule complete game shutout of Seattle U on March 29. Again earned WAC Pitcher of the Week recognition off of the outing. It was GCU's first complete game shutout since Mattison's no-hitter in March 2024.
- Struck out 10 batters in five innings against Utah Valley on April 11.
- Tossed a career-high 119 pitches and did not allow an earned run in his regular-season finale at Tarleton State on May 15.
- Named Preseason All-WAC.
- Earned first-team All-WAC recognition as a starting pitcher.
- Pitched 81 2/3 innings, over 20 innings more than any other GCU pitcher and fifth-most in the WAC.
- Exhibited tremendous command, ranking 27th nationally in strikeout-to-walk ratio (79-to-16, 4.94) and 28th in fewest walks per nine innings (16 in 81 2/3, 1.76).
- Struck out 79 batters, second-most on the team and tied for third in the WAC.
- Won six games, tied for the GCU lead and tied for fourth in the WAC.
- Had an impressive 2.73 ERA in conference games, No. 6 mark in the WAC.
- Opened season on Feb. 19 vs. BYU, earning his first career victory with four innings of scoreless work and six strikeouts.
- Combined for a shutout in a win at UT Rio Grande Valley on March 24, throwing the first five innings before handing the ball off to Grant Richardson, Walter Quinn and Hunter Watkins.
- Earned another winning decision on Apfil 27 at Seattle U, setting a new career high with nine strikeouts in seven innings of one-run baseball. The outing came six days after setting a career-high mark of eight strikeouts on April 21 vs. Utah Tech.
- Earned his first career save by tossing the final three innings of GCU's first NCAA tournament victory over No. 15 Arizona in the Tucson Regional. Struck out four in the scoreless relief appearance.
- Appeared in 10 games with three starts in his rookie campaign.
- Contributed to two of GCU's four shutout wins on the season. Threw one inning to combine with Daniel Avitia for a 10-0, seven-inning victory over New Mexico State on March 11. Combined with Hunter Omlid, Shawn Triplett and Blake Reilly to shut out Nevada on April 30.
- His season-high in strikeouts was three, coming in his career debut against Michigan State on Feb. 20 where he tossed two scoreless frames in a start.
- His 13 2/3 innings on the season ranked second among Lopes freshmen behind Grant Richardson (22 innings).

- Hit .363 in 62 varsity games spanning three seasons. Capped it off with a .406 senior campaign in 22 with 12 extra-base hits and 30 RBIs.
- Went 10-2 with a 1.44 ERA in 77 2/3 career varsity innings. Struck out 88 and walked only 23. Injury prevented him from pitching during his senior year in 2022.
- Helped lead the Warriors to a 28-4 record and a state title as a junior in 2021, which he cites as his top athletic memory to date.
- Played club baseball for the Snow Canyon Sliderzz, Utah X-treme and Team Utah.

- Parents are Brandon and Sara Lyon.
- Father, Brandon, played 12 MLB seasons for the Blue Jays, Red Sox, Diamondbacks, Tigers, Astros and Mets. Amassed over 680 career innings and posted a 42-47 record with a 4.16 ERA. Finished 50 games in 2008 to rank eighth in the National League. Was a 14th rounder by Toronto in 1999. An alum of Utah Tech, has his No. 9 jersey retired by the program.
- Younger brother, Andrew, is signed to play for GCU after his Spring 2025 graduation.
- Off the field, enjoys golf, bowling, ping pong and snowboarding.
