Struck out 66 batters and had a 4-6 record. 2014 - Matched his career-best total with 9 wins as he was named First Team All-Conference in the Western Athletic Conference...his 9-3 record led the squad, while he also sported a 3.26 ERA (36 ER in 99.1 IP) in 14 games (13 starts)...among all WAC pitchers, he ranked tied for second in wins, third in opponent batting average (.232), fourth in innings pitched, ninth in strikeouts (61), and 10th in ERA...tossed a complete game on May 9 at North Dakota, allowing just 1 run while fanning 7...struck out a season-best 8 batters in back-to-back starts on April 19 at Northern Colorado and April 25 versus New Mexico State...tossed at least 7.0 innings over his final 12 starts, allowing 2 or fewer runs in 6 of those outings...picked up a win in five straight outings from April 19-May 16...tossed 2.0 innings of scoreless relief in GCU's season finale on May 20 at UC Riverside. 2013 - Garnered Rawlings/ABCA Division II Gold Glove honors as the best defensive pitcher in the country after collecting eight putouts and 28 assists in 36 chances without committing an error...was the lone freshman on the Gold Glove team and was also a West Region Gold Glove winner...named Freshman of the Year in the PacWest after posting an 8-2 record and 2.62 ERA (22 ER in 75.2 IP) in 13 starts during the regular season...among his many other honors were being named to the Rawlings/ABCA Division II West All-Region Second Team and NCBWA All-West Region Honorable Mention...led the team in wins (9), complete games (5), and strikeouts (87)...among conference pitchers, he was tied for second in wins, fourth in strikeouts, tied for fourth in complete games, eighth in innings pitched, and was one of just 13 PacWest pitchers with a complete game shutout on the season...had back-to-back complete games on April 19 and 27, allowing just 3 runs in 14.0 innings of work...collected a season- and team-high 10 strikeouts on May 3 vs. Dixie State...was outstanding in three postseason games, allowing just 3 earned runs on 12 hits and 7 walks with 20 strikeouts in 19.0 innings of work for a 1.42 ERA...played summer ball for the Corvallis Knights, winning the first game of the West Coast League championship after allowing just 1 earned run in 8.1 innings...named to the All-West Coast League Team after posting a 3-1 record.
