Grand Canyon left-hander
Oakley Vickers earned Mountain West Pitcher of the Week after leading the Lopes pitching staff to an undefeated weekend in San Diego.

Vickers, who came on to the scene late in her freshman season last year, has started this season near perfect as the lone southpaw in the GCU pitching rotation.
The sophomore appeared in all five games in San Diego, starting in the wins over Notre Dame (3/6) and Princeton (3/7).
She finished the weekend with a win, a save and 11 strikeouts in just over 11 innings pitched. Vickers threw six total innings in the 7-4 thrilling victory over Princeton. Her save came with runners on first and second base with no outs in the seventh inning in the final victory of the week over Notre Dame (3/7).
Vickers is a perfect 8-0 on the season with a 1.34 ERA and 0.79 WHIP. She has struck out 51 batters in 47 innings. Vickers has the most wins in the Mountain West and also has two saves on the year.
Vickers and Grand Canyon moved to 27-0 on the season, giving them the most wins in the country. The team remains one of three undefeated squads left in the nation, alongside Tennesee and Alabama. GCU travels to New Mexico this upcoming weekend to begin MW play.
