With two teams at 4-3 in the Mountain West and a chance to solidify at least an outright fourth-place standing in the conference, Grand Canyon heads to The Pit to take on New Mexico in a nationally televised Saturday game. The first-ever game on FS1 for the Lopes women's basketball program will be the second part of a Lopes' doubleheader, airing immediately after the GCU men's home contest vs. No. 23 Utah State.Â

- Saturday's matchup is the second-ever meeting between the two schools and the first in regular-season play. GCU visited The Pit on March 16, 2022, for a WNIT first-round loss.

- Sophomore guard Chloe Mann is coming off her second straight seven-assist night against Nevada. Mann leads the squad at 13.4 points per game and has dished out 51 assists for the season.
- Senior forward Anisa Jeffries is averaging 9.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game in MW play, with a 17-of-17 clip from the free throw line. She leads the squad with 31 steals and is seventh in the conferene in steals per game (1.8).
- GCU is 3-1 since junior guard Kaitlyn Elsholz was put in the starting lineup. Elsholz is averaging 5.3 points and 2.0 boards per game as a starter.
