Lopes close MPSF slate at No. 11 Stanford

The Grand Canyon men's volleyball team is set to play in its final away matches this season at No. 11 Stanford Froday and Saturday evening.Â
Both matches will be streamed live on B1G+.
3 THINGS TO KNOW
- HISTORY:Â The Lopes last faced Stanford in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship during the 2024 season, when the Lopes won a four-set match. GCU is 3-0 in the last three meetings with Stanford.
- CLOSING STRONG: The Lopes are coming off a bye weekend,. Prior to that they handed UCLA its first conference loss of the year and then went to five with the back-to-back Champions.
- RANKED: Trent Moser is currently ranked 37th in the country in hitting percentage with .316. The Lopes rank 17th as a team in blocks per set with 2.324. GCU also ranks 13th in team hitting percentage with a clip of 0.306.Â
SCOUTING STANFORD
 As a team, Stanford ranks fourth in the MPSF with 11.61 assists per set and 12.24 kills per set. The Cardinal is fifth in hitting percentage (.280), sixth in blocks per set (1.97) and eighth in aces per set (1.24) and digs per set (8.08).
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Lopes will head to Pepperdine for the MPSF Championship from Apr. 22-26.Â
