The 13th-ranked Grand Canyon beach volleyball team is on the island of OÊ»ahu, Hawaii, on Saturday and Sunday after a bye week to take on No. 16 host Hawaii and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation opponent No. 10 Cal twice apiece.Â
On Saturday, the Lopes will face Hawaii at 3 p.m. (Phoenix time)Â and then play the Rainbow Warriors for their Senior Match on Sunday at 9:30 p.m. (Phoenix time) on ESPN+. GCU will take on Cal at 6 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.Â
Scouting Hawaii
The Rainbow Warriors are 12-15Â this season and 3-15 in ranked matches.Â
The Lopes are 2-2 in the last four matches against Hawaii, with Hawaii winning last season.
Scouting Cal
The Golden Bears are 18-6Â with a seven-match win streak.Â
GCU has won six of its eight matches against Cal. The Golden Bears defeated the Lopes 3-2 earlier this season at Stanford.Â
What's next?
Following the four matches at Hawaii, GCU will head to TCU next weekend to close out the regular season against the Horned Frogs, Missouri State, Louisiana-Monroe and Houston Christian.Â
