Grand Canyon is home for the second week of MW play, hosting Wyoming on Thursday night in Antelope Gymnasium and Colorado State on Saturday afternoon at Global Credit Union Arena.
Thursday's 6 p.m. match will be available on Mountain West Network while Saturday's 2 p.m. match will be shown on 3TV, Arizona's Family Sports and Mountain West Network.

- Lopes freshman setter/opposite Bella Nunez recorded the program's first triple-double in the Division I era in a Sept. 6 win against Washington State, finishing with 10 kills, 21 assists, and 21 digs.

- GCU graduate middle blocker Hayden Goodman is ranked 10th in Division I and first in the Mountain West with 1.55 blocks per set.

LAST TIME OUT
- GCU went 0-2 in the opening weekend of play against tough Boise State and Utah State teams. Despite the high-level competition, Nunez notched her second career triple-double against Boise State, tallying 11 kills, 15 assists, and 22 digs.
- After Saturday's loss, Potts said, "We don't need to overthink this. We took some hits. We saw two good teams. We're going to learn. We're going to grow. And if this is a part of our story for the season to have to take some hard hits from the very beginning to grow and learn what speed we need to play, what adjustments we need to make, then this will be worth it."
SCOUTING
- Wyoming is 6-7 this season and 2-0 in MW play. The Cowgirls have won their last three matches but are 0-2 on the road. Wyoming's Paige Lauterwasser was picked to the conference's preseason team.
- Colorado State was voted second in the conference coaches' preseason poll and sts at 7-5 with a conference record of 1-1 with a five-set loss to Wyoming and a sweep win against Nevada. The Rams' Brenna Rowland is leading the conference in hitting percentage at .517 on 29 attempts,

- The Lopes will have their first conference road match at UNLV on Oct. 9 and then return to Phoenix to host New Mexico on Oct. 11.
