Grand Canyon begins a four-game week with a Tuesday matchup against Washington at 1 p.m.

PAC-12 COMPETITION: GCU plays its 10th and final game against Pac-12 competition this season. With a win, the Lopes would finish .500 against Pac-12 teams. GCU opened the year with a dominant win over USC before dropping two midweek games to Oregon. The Lopes went 3-2 against the two in-state Pac-12 teams while dropping a game to Washington State.
THOSE HOT BATS: The Lopes' offense has had an impressive five-game stretch, averaging 15.6 runs and 14.8 hits on .396 hitting. GCU has scored nine or more runs in five straight games for the first time since 2015. GCU is hitting .313 on the year, which would be its highest batting average for a season since 2011. The Lopes have eight batters hitting over .300 (min. 28 games played).
BALANCED BASEBALL: GCU is one of seven teams to rank in the nation's top 30 in both batting average (.313, 19th) and ERA (4.45, 26th). Other schools to hold the distinction include Tennessee, East Carolina, Florida State, Duke, Texas A&M and North Carolina.

SCOUTING WASHINGTON

Washington wraps a four-game week in Arizona after dropping two of three at Arizona State over the weekend. That series came on the heels of a three-game home series win against Arizona the weekend prior.

The Huskies are No. 150 in the RPI rankings under second-year head coach Jason Kelly, a former Arizona State pitching coach. Washington went to the NCAA tournament in Kelly's first season, beating Dallas Baptist in the Stillwater Regional before dropping back-to-back games.

Washington ranks 256th nationally with a .255 batting average, 98th nationally with a 5.38 ERA and 40th nationally with a .977 fielding percentage.

GCU wraps the home schedule with a three-game series against Abilene Christian beginning on Friday at 7 p.m.
