Multis set for Arizona-hosted meet

Four Lopes student-athletes to compete at Jim Click
The Grand Canyon track and field team will be competing in the Jim Click Multis at Arizona in Tucson this Friday and Saturday.
The Lopes will be taking Summer Grubbs, Blayk Kelton, Jackson Smith and Casey Tow to compete. Â
This event is a multi-day decathlon and heptathlon and will mark the first time that the Lopes have participated in this competition this season.
Coming off of the Texas Relays, the majority of the team will take the week off to prepare for the final leg of the season leading into the WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Â
The Jim Click Multis will start at 11Â a.m. Friday. Â

- 100-meter dash
- long jump
- shot put
- high jump
- 400-meter dash
- 110-meter hurdles
- discus throw
- pole vaultÂ
- javelin throw
- 1,500-meter run
The heptathlon includes the following events:
- 100-meter hurdles
- high jump
- shot put
- 200-meter dashÂ
- long jump
- javelin throw
- 800-meter run
