Grand Canyon closes WAC play at home with two Texas-sized matchups on Thursday night against Abilene Christian and on Sunday against Tarleton State.

The Lopes enter this weekend's matches at 1-0 in conference play after beating Utah Tech 2-1 on Saturday.
GCU is finishing a five-match homestand, including three consecutive home conference matches.They end the WAC season with four straight on the road.
Senior DeAira Jackson received WAC Goalkeeper of the Week for Week 7 (Sept. 23-29).
Senior Destinee Duran-Wise received WAC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 7 (Sept 23-29).
Both players received weekly recognition for the second time this season.
Three of GCU's four losses have come against top-72 teams in the RPI.
Duran-Wise scored her first goal of the season in the 32nd minute to tie the match at 1-1.
Junior midfielder AJ Loera scored her first goal of the season via penalty kick in the 87th minute, vs. Utah Tech. She leads the team with three assists on the year as well.
The Lopes are 12-4-1 in WAC home matches since 2021.
GCU is one win away from its 100th win in the program's Division I era.
The Lopes have 11 goal scorers and 14 players with an assist through the first 12 matches.
Jackson has accumulated five shutouts, tying her for 16th most in the country. She had seven last season.
Senior defender Aleisha Ganief, Loera and Jackson all received Preseason All-WAC recognition. Jackson was named Preseason WAC Goalkeeper of the Year.

GCU beat Utah Tech 2-1 on Saturday at GCU Stadium.
The Lopes gave up a goal in the fourth minute, but shut out the Trailblazers for the remaining 86 minutes.
GCU put 11 shots on goal compared to Utah Tech's two.

GCU is finishing a five-match home streak to end its home schedule.
The Lopes are 4-3 at home this season.
Oct. 6 will mark the final home match of the season and is Senior Day. GCU will recognize 13 seniors.
The Lopes will finish the season with four WAC road matches before the WAC Tournament in Abilene, Texas.

This is the second all-time meeting between Abilene Christian and GCU.
The Lopes tied the Wildcats 1-1 in Abilene, Texas, last season.
The match promotion will be "Pink on the Pitch," raising awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All fans wearing pink will have free admission.
This is the third all-time meeting between Tarleton State and GCU.
The Lopes beat the Texans 3-1 in Stephenville, Texas, last year.
The match will have Senior Day pregame festivities, honoring 13 seniors in the program.

The Lopes will face Southern Utah in Cedar City, Utah, on Oct. 11 at 3 p.m. (Phoenix time).
The match will kick off four straight road matches to finish the regular season.
