Klaire Mitchell earned the WAC Setter of the Week award for her opening-weekend performance at Wake Forest Invitational.

Mitchell notched a double-double vs. Toledo (11 digs, 39 assists) and recorded weekend totals of 104 assists (10.4 assists per set), 27 digs (2.7 digs per set), 10.5 points, six service aces and five blocks to be named to the all-tournament team.
The GCU Division I-era career assists leader (3,538) ranks eighth nationally among active players in career assists as well.
The Lopes host the GCU Invitational, their first home event of the season, beginning this Friday at 7 p.m. (Phoenix time) against Long Island and followed by a 7 p.m. Saturday match against Iowa State and a 2 p.m. Sunday match against Arizona.
