Coronado promoted to assistant coach

Coronado served as a volunteer coach last year
The Grand Canyon Beach Volleyball volunteer coach Keone Coronado has been promoted to assistant coach.Â
"I'm extremely excited and grateful to be able to step into this role," Coronado said. "I look forward to developing the athletes here and would like to thank Abra for providing this opportunity."
Coronado joined the staff last fall, and assisted the Lopes to a 26-8 record, a second place finish in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Associataion (CCSA), and their second at-large bid to the NCAA tournament.Â
"I am very excited to elevate Keone," new Lopes head coach Abra Rummel said. "His impact on the program last year was immediate and I am confident he will help GCU achieve even greater success."
