Homer Bush Jr. was named WAC Hitter of the Week for the first time in his career after hitting .600 in four games.
As GCU's leadoff man, Bush reached base safely in 15 of his 21 plate appearances in games at Arizona and at Utah Valley for a .714 on-base percentage. Bush leads the WAC and ranks 14th in the nation with his .541 on-base percentage for the season.
Bush's week began with a 3-for-4 night at Arizona on Tuesday, doubling twice, walking once, driving in three runs and scoring twice.
He made it back-to-back three-hit games with a 3-for-4 game with three runs scored and two walks in GCU's 11-2 series-opening win at Utah Valley on Friday night.
The weekend rolled on for Bush with another multi-hit effort on Saturday, going 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs in the Lopes' series-clinching win.
Bush got on base three times more in Sunday's series finale, scoring twice. He was walked, hit by a pitch and recorded a first-inning leadoff single.
Bush drove his batting average to .449 to rank second on the team, third in the WAC and 11th nationally. His 48 hits on the season lead the team and rank ninth nationally. He is fifth in the country in runs scored at 39.
GCU wraps up its stretch of five consecutive road games on Tuesday at UNLV.
