Allison Hansen was among nine players selected for the 2023 Beach Collegiate National Team on behalf of the National Team Development Program.

"I am super excited to have the opportunity to play for the Collegiate National Team," Hansen said. "I have been dreaming of this since my freshman year, and it is an honor that it has become a reality."
The 2023 Women's Beach Collegiate National Team the top collegiate athletes who are eligible to train and compete for the national program. This year's training block will be held in Chula Vista, California, on June 11-17 at the Elite Athlete Training Center.
Hansen is part of GCU's No. 1 pair this season with
Abbie Hughes, leading GCU to a No. 7 national seed for the team's second consecutive NCAA tournament qualifier. The 6-foot native of Everett, Washington, set a program record with 28 victories last season.

Kristen Rohr said. "She has worked really hard to improve her game physically and mentally and is so deserving of this."
The women's team will train with co-head coaches Angie Akers and April Ross. Akers coached Ross and partner Alix Klineman to an Olympic gold medal in Tokyo and is an assistant coach at Loyola Marymount. Ross competed in three Olympics (2012, 2016 and 2020) and has won gold, silver and bronze medals.
Hansen is joined on the team by Peri Brennan (UCLA), Xolani Hodel (Stanford), Paige Kalkhoff (Florida State), Chloe Loreen (Washington), Delaynie Maple (Southern California), Nicole Nourse (Southern California) and Ashley Vincent (Stanford).
As many as four athletes (born in 2001 or later) could be selected from the group for the U23 Beach National Team, which will have two pairs compete in the NORCECA U23 Beach Tour Championships in Grand Cayman on July 7-9.
