GCU has 49 winter student-athletes honored for academic, athletic success
Grand Canyon had 49 winter student-athletes honored by the WAC in its release of Academic All-WAC accolades.
The men's indoor track and field program led the way with 15 selections, while women's swimming and diving had 12 student-athletes named to the list.
Out of 13 member schools in the conference, GCU placed second in number of selections in this round.
Academic All-WAC honors athletes who competed in at least 50% of their team's competitions this past fall and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better. To be eligible, student-athletes had to be at their institution for at least one full school year. First-year student-athletes who meet the other criteria but have not yet been at their school for a full year will be eligible for the WAC's end-of-year release.
