Grand Canyon and Arizona State complete a two-game season series on Tuesday night, as the Lopes look to force a split of the series for the third straight year. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Brazell Field at GCU Ballpark.

The game will be televised locally on FOX 10 Xtra (Ch. 45 / Cable 9) and streamed on ESPN+ with Barry Buetel, Mike Rooney and Kate Longworth.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

MIDWEEK MADNESS: Including Tuesday's game against Arizona State, GCU has six more midweek matchups on the docket in 2023. All six will come against Power Five opponents. Three come at home against Pac-12 opposition (Arizona State, Oregon State, Arizona) with three on the road (two at Texas Tech, one at Baylor).
SPIKES ARE GOLDEN: Lopes juniors Jacob Wilson and Homer Bush Jr. were named to the Golden Spikes Midseason Watchlist on Wednesday for the nation's top amateur player. GCU was one of only 10 schools to have multiple players featured on the list.
WILSON, PATON'S WEEKEND: GCU junior Tyler Wilson and sophomore Eli Paton had weekends to remember against Seattle U. Wilson posted an 8-of-14 (.571) week including his first career multi-homer game on Thursday and a streak of 10 consecutive plate appearances reaching base. Paton is coming off of back-to-back multi-hit games. He set new career highs on Saturday with three hits and five RBIs and hit his first career homer, a grand slam.

SCOUTING

After a slow start to the season, Arizona State has won 17 of its last 19 games to appear in national top-25 polls including No. 24 in the D1Baseball.com poll. The Sun Devils are tired with Stanford atop the Pac-12 standings at 10-2 in conference play. The Sun Devils have won conference series against Utah, Arizona, California and Washington State.

The Sun Devils rank 19th nationally with a .314 batting average led by Ryan Campos' .419 average that sits 22nd in the country.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The Lopes head to Texas for a five-game week beginning with a three-game WAC set at Abilene Christian followed by their only two-game midweek set of the season at Texas Tech.
