WAC names fall academic honorees

Women's volleyball leads Lopes teams with 8 picks
Grand Canyon had 21 fall student-athletes honored by the WAC in its release of Academic All-WAC accolades.
The women's volleyball program led the way with eight selections, while women's soccer had seven athletes named to the list. Women's cross country had four honorees, men's soccer had three and men's cross country featured two.
Academic All-WAC honors athletes who competed in at least 50% of their team's competitions this past fall and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better. To be eligible, student-athletes had to have been at their respective institution for at least one full school year. First-year student-athletes who meet the other criteria but have not yet been at their school for a full year will be eligible for the WAC's end-of-year release.
