The Grand Canyon women's volleyball team prepares to compete against ninth-place Tarleton on Thursday night and seventh-place Abilene Christian on Saturday in final road trip of the regular season.
3 THINGS TO KNOW
- Second-place GCU leads the WAC in aces per set (2.09), team aces (169) and hitting percentage (.278), while also respectively ranking sixth, 28thth and 16th nationally in those categories this season.
- Sophomore outside hitter Tatum Parrott leads the conference in kills per set (4.55) and points per set (5.39); Parrott ranks sixth (points per set) and 11th (kills per set) in the nation this season.
- Graduate setter Klaire Mitchell remains eighth nationally among active Division I setters for career assists (4,281) and is one of five active DI players to have at least 4K career assists and 1,000 career digs (1,098). Mitchell also leads the WAC in assists per set (10.46) and ranks 26th in the NCAA this season.
SCOUTING TARLETON
- GCU carries a 4-0 record against Tarleton, most recently sweeping the Texans at home on Sept. 30. Tarleton has also been swept by first-place Stephen F. Austin and sixth-place Utah Valley this season.
- Tarleton does not lead the WAC in any statistical categories as a team or individually.
- The Texans are led offensively by Allison Bryant (3.32 kps), and Megan Hodges (6.02), and defensively by Matti Theurer (4.02 dps), and Emma Burke (1.02 bps) this season.
SCOUTING ABILENE CHRISTIAN
- Four of Southern Utah's seven conference losses have stemmed from sweeps, including a 3-0 loss to GCU at home on Sept. 28.
- The Wildcats lead the WAC in total team attacks (3,332) this season.
- The Lopes hold a 2-1 program record against the Wildcats, sweeping them at home earlier this season, falling in five sets on the road last season, and defeating them 3-1 at Antelope Gymnasium in 2013.

- Sophomore outside hitter Tatum Parrott notched 35 kills (5.83 per set), a .333 hitting percentage, 19 digs (3.17 per set), and five blocks for 39.5 points.
- Sophomore libero Tatum Thomas posted 19 digs (3.17 per set), 12 receptions (.917), four assists (0.67 per set)) and three aces.
- Graduate setter Klaire Mitchell guided the team to .316 hitting percentage, recorded 76 assists (12.67 per set), 20 digs (3.33 per set), one service ace, two blocks, seven kills and nine points.
