No. 7 GCU takes down No. 11 Long Beach, No. 17 Arizona on Day 2

TUCSON – The No. 7 Grand Canyon beach volleyball team swept the second day of the Arizona Invitational at Bear Down Beach with a 3-2 win over No. 11 Long Beach State and a 4-1 win over No. 17 Arizona. The Lopes finished the weekend at 4-0 to improve to a 22-6 record on the season.

With a 22-6 record, GCU broke its single-season win record, which was set in 2019 when the Lopes earned 20 wins. GCU sophomores Allison Hansen and Allanis Navas moved to 25-2, breaking the single-season record for pair wins, which was set in 2016 at 23 wins. The duo is also tied for the GCU single-season individual wins record at 25 wins apiece.
