No. 7 Lopes defeat SFA 5-0, CSUB 4-1 at Arizona Invitational

TUCSON – The No. 7 Grand Canyon beach volleyball team swept the opening day of the Arizona Invitational at Bear Down Beach with a 5-0 sweep over Stephen F. Austin in its first-ever meeting with the Ladyjacks, then picked up the 4-1 win over CSU Bakersfield to close out Friday.

GCU's win over CSU Bakersfield put the Lopes at 20 wins on the season, tying the most wins in a season in program history. Lopes sophomore duo Allison Hansen and Allanis Navas now have 23 pair wins on the season, also tying a program record set by Mackenzie Phelps and Shannon Dugan in 2016.
