THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- DOMINANT HOMESTAND: The Lopes wrapped up nonconference play with a 4-0 homestand that featured four straight sweeps for the Lopes. Against Harvard and Tusculum, GCU tallied 151 kills on .362 hitting while adding 23 blocks and 18 aces. The Lopes also limited the Crimson and the Pioneers to combined .127 hitting.
- SINGLE-MATCH RECORD: In a 3-0 win over Tusculum, middle blocker Kyle Thompson was nearly perfect on offense. The GCU redshirt junior finished with nine kills on .900 hitting, which set a GCU single-game record with at least 10 attempts.
- TOP-10 TEAMMATES: Outside hitters Christian Janke and Camden Gianni have been getting the job done on offense for the Lopes all season. The GCU duo is the only pair of teammates ranked in the top 10 nationally for points per set. Gianni (4.71) ranks seventh while Janke (4.47) is 10th.
