Fresh off a two-game split with CSUN, the Grand Canyon baseball continues a five-game homestand beginning with a weekend series against San Diego.Â
All five games will be streamed on ESPN+.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- STRONG ROTATION: GCU's weekend rotation fresh off three wins in the conference opener at California Baptist last weekend return to GCU Ballpark for the first time since the season opening weekend. Senior Nick Hull and sophomore Connor Markl have combined for 10.2 innings of work while allowing just four runs with 15 strikeouts and just two walks allowed.
 - TORRES THE HERO: Freshman Adrian Torres was the hero on Tuesday's 3-2 win against CSUN with a pinch hit walkoff two-run homerun. It was just the second hit of the season and it was the first walkoff homerun for the Lopes since Channy Ortiz's solo homerun against No. 16 Arizona in extra innings last season.
 - COLATO'S CONTRIBUTION: Third baseman Juan Colato has been on a hot streak with five straight multi-hit games entering the weekend. On Tuesday, Colato singled in the ninth before Torres' walkoff homerun and then collected two doubles part of a three-hit performance on Wednesday.
SCOUTING
San Diego hits the road for the first time this season after playing their first 11 games at Fowler Park. The Toreros began the season with three wins against Oregon and a 2-0 win against common opponent UC San Diego whom the Lopes beat 9-6.
Head coach Brock Ungricht is in his first season at the helm after spending the last three seasons as USD's assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Four Toreros are hitting over .300 entering the weekend including Kevin Sim who leads the team with five homeruns and 17 RBIs.

The Lopes hit the road for a midweek matchup at Oregon State on March 15 and 16.Â
