GCU looks to build off its 1st-place Stockton finish in 2022 finale
The Grand Canyon men's golf team concludes its fall season this week by playing in the Saint Mary's Invitational at the Poppy Hills Golf Club in Pebble Beach, California.
Saint Mary's is hosting the tournament, with the first round beginning Monday morning followed by the second round Tuesday and the third and final round Wednesday. The trip to California is the third this season for the Lopes, who previously made trips to Kingsburg and Stockton.
The Lopes starting five features fifth-year senior Parker Reddig, senior Matthew Braley, junior Nicky Kling, junior Craig Passmore and sophomore Josh McCabe. Reddig earned second place at the Visit Stockton Invitational on Oct. 20-22 with a 10-under-par scorecard that featured a 5-under final round. Braley finished right behind him at 9 under and tied for third in the tournament.
Saint Mary's and GCU are joined in the field by BYU, No. 18 Colorado State, Fresno State, Loyola Marymount, Nevada, Northern Illinois, Pacific, Sacramento State, San Diego, Santa Clara, UC Santa Barbara, UT Chattanooga, UT San Antonio and Washington State.
