The Grand Canyon women's tennis team swept the WAC Singles and Doubles Players of the Week honors on Wednesday.

GCU sophomore
Natasha Puehse earned her second WAC weekly singles honor of the season while senior duo
Emilia Occhipinti and
Autum Prudhomme took their first WAC doubles honor.

Against Arizona on Saturday, Puehse won her third straight singles match 4-6, 7-6, 6-3 over Kayla Wilkins at the top singles position. The Scottsdale, Arizona, native pushed her team-leading singles record to 3-1 while solidifying her role as the top singles player for the Lopes.

In doubles, Prudhomme and Occhipinti clinched the doubles point against Arizona. The GCU pair defeated Abby Amos and Talya Zandberg 6-3 to give GCU an early 1-0 lead.

It was Occhipinti's second doubles win of the season, giving her 34 career wins to tie her with
Alexandra Petrzalkova for the third-most doubles wins in GCU's Division I history.

The Lopes will be back in action Feb. 27-28 on the road against Omaha and Drake.
