Katie Scott became the first WAC women's basketball player to win three consecutive Player of the Week honors in the award's 31-year history.

Scott led the Lopes in Sunday's record-breaking win with 28 points as GCU set a new Division I-era scoring record of 106 points against Park. The Carl Junction, Missouri, native made 11 of 18 shots from the field and also collected seven rebounds and three steals.Â
The freshman has scored 20-plus points in six of the Lopes' nine games, helping an 8-1 GCU start.
Scott is averaging a WAC-leading 20.7 points per game as well as 6.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists.
She is also leading the conference with 60% accuracy on 3-pointers and is tied for first with a total of 58 rebounds.
Up next, the Lopes open WAC play at home Friday and Saturday against Tarleton.
