Men's soccer receives United Soccer Coaches honor for 2019-20
The Grand Canyon men's soccer team received the United Soccer Coaches' Team Academic Award for the third consecutive year, the organization announced Thursday.
The award is given to high school and collegiate soccer programs that showed exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2019-20 academic year.

This honor marks the sixth time the GCU men's soccer team has received the award since 2013.

In order to qualify for the Team Academic Award, programs must be active members of the United Soccer Coaches and hold a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all the players on the 2019-20 roster.

GCU, led by sixth-year head coach Schellas Hyndman, earned the award with a combined 3.468 GPA during 2019-20.
