To be eligible for Academic All-WAC, student-athletes must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. They must have spent a full school year at their institution and participated in at least 50% of their team's competitions.
Spring honorees came from baseball, softball, golf, tennis and outdoor track and field programs. Student-athletes from fall and winter sports who were not yet eligible due to the one-year requirement were also included on the list.
GCU had 47 more honorees than the next closest program, which was Utah Valley with 137.
During the 2019-20 academic year, 1,615 student-athletes earned Academic All-WAC recognition. GCU led the way with 295 honorees. Utah Valley was second with 215 and Seattle U was third with 202. All nine member institutions had at least 100 student-athletes recognized over the year.
