The Grand Canyon women's volleyball team found redemption on Saturday inside Antelope Gymnasium as the Lopes downed Idaho in four sets, 25-16, 22-25, 25-23 and 25-20. GCU is 1-1 in the Grand Canyon Classic after falling to Cal State Northridge on Friday night.

Annabelle Kubinski set a season-high mark with a team-best 12 kills on the match, while junior outside hitter
Yeny Murillo had 11 kills and sophomore middle blocker
Kaira Moss added nine.
GCU sophomore outside hitter
K.J. Adams had three service aces while the Lopes (9-2) tallied eight in the match to four aces by Idaho (4-7).
The Lopes trailed 7-4 in the first set, but an Idaho service error, a
Teagan DeFalco ace and a Kubinski kill began a 10-3 run that put GCU ahead 14-10. The Lopes found their groove and shut the Vandals down in the first set, 25-16.
Idaho came back in the second set and closed it out with a 3-0 run for the 25-22 win to tie the match at 1-1. In the third set, GCU took an early lead, but Idaho came back to make it a one-point game, 24-23. The Lopes held composure and claimed the set, 25-23.
Idaho came out swinging in the fourth set and went ahead of GCU 13-9 but the Lopes followed with a 11-5 run to go ahead 20-18. A 5-2 run closed out the set with GCU on top, 25-20.
GCU closes out the Grand Canyon Classic at 7 p.m. Saturday against Omaha inside GCU Arena.
