GCU takes on the Broncos in final home matchup

Grand Canyon beach volleyball is set for its final home match of the season this Sunday at 11 a.m. The No. 15 Lopes (18-8) take on Santa Clara at GCU Beach Volleyball Stadium for their Senior Day celebration.

GCU is coming off a big weekend at home, going 4-1 last week at the GCU Tournament. The Lopes took down Utah, Long Beach City College and Mt. San Antonio College in 5-0 sweeps and defeated UAB 4-1.

The Lopes take on the Broncos for the first time at home Sunday. GCU leads the series 1-0 after a 5-0 sweep of the Broncos in Tucson, Ariz., in 2017.

Santa Clara is 2-8 this season, and is set to play four more matches in Tucson before facing the Lopes on Sunday. The Broncos have faced several top-ranked opponents, including Loyola Marymount and California, and will take on No. 13 Arizona twice this weekend.
