Lopes host CSU for Pink Game

GCU, Chicago State meet in Phoenix
The Grand Canyon women's basketball team looks to split the regular season games with Chicago State as the Lopes host the Cougars on Saturday at GCU Arena. Saturday's game is a pink out in honor of the Play4Kay initiative, supporting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
GCU came up short to Chicago State due to a last-second buzzer-beater in January in Chicago. The Lopes are paced by senior ShaRon Miller who averages 11.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Redshirt senior AJ Cephas is averaging 9.6 points per game, while Laura Piera (8.6 ppg) and Da'jah Daniel (7.9 ppg) round out the Lopes top scorers. Daniel leads in rebounding with 6.6 rpg.Â

Chicago State heads to Phoenix with a 1-22 overall record and 1-9 in the Western Athletic Conference. The Cougars earned their first win of the season against GCU in Chicago in January, as CSU hit a buzzer-beater to go ahead of the Lopes, 50-48, for the conference victory.Â
